Call of Duty: Vanguard is the eighteenth major installment of the best-selling first-person shooter series known as Call of Duty, inspired by the actual events of World War II.
The action of the game again takes us to the frontline of World War II, where we have the opportunity to play four different characters alternately. The main characters of this part are: Briton Arthur Kingsley, a member of the 9th Parachute Battalion sent to Normandy during Operation Overlord; Polina Petrova, a sniper of the 138th Infantry Division serving in Stalingrad; American pilot Wade Jackson of the 6th Reconnaissance Squadron fighting in the Battle of Midway; and Australian Lucas Riggsies of the 20th Batallion, one of the Tobruk Rangers fighting in North Africa. Over time, their fates intertwine, and together they form the first ever Special Forces unit, and their mission is to stop the mysterious Operation Phoenix.
As in previous games in the series, Call of Duty: Vanguard is played in first-person perspective (FPP). In this game, we have the opportunity to participate in crucial World War II battles taking place in both Eastern and Western Europe, the Pacific and North Africa, playing as four different characters. The game is focused on completing certain assigned missions and destroying enemies with a wide range of weapons. During the game we have the ability to use stealth, running, dodging attacks, peeking through open doors into rooms, and our actions (such as shooting at an enemy hiding behind a wall) can result in a destructible environment.
